Reticulated-Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata). The giraffe is the tallest animal in the world. Males reach a towering 19 feet tall and weigh between 2400 and 4250 pounds. Females measure up to 17 feet tall and weigh between 1540 and 2600 pounds. On the top of their heads, giraffes have horns made of solid bone and covered with skin.
