Camellias are flowering, shade-loving, small trees or shrubs that are available in a remarkable range of colors, forms, and sizes. Camellia, the Queen of winter flowers, which may bloom in late fall, winter and early spring adding cheer to the garden when little else is in flower. Depending their varieties, they bloom prodigiously for weeks from fall to spring in mild climate like Southern California. All named Camellia are from Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, and other un-named camellia are from the Descanso Botanical Garden in California.
