The South Coast Botanic Garden is one of the world's first botanical gardens to be developed over a sanitary landfill in 1961 in Los Angeles. Covering 87 acres, the Garden offers a wide variety of blooming trees, shrubs, and flowers all year. It has a unique collection of fuchsia, and very good rose garden with over 300 varieties of roses in formal beds, showcasing All American Rose (AARS) selections.
