Rosemary is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant, evergreen, needle-like leaves. It is native to the Mediterranean region. It  is widely used as a spice when cooking, especially in Mediterranean dishes. It is also used for its fragrance in soaps and other cosmetics.¬†Rosemary has a long history of uses for a variety of medicinal and curative applications, some of which are of unsubstantiated value. Cold hardy: USDA zone 8-10.
