Cattleyas are among the most commonly grown orchids in the world. The flowers in cattleya and their related hybrids come in many colors and sizes. Like most other cultivated orchids, cattleyas are epiphytes. Cattleya is a genus of 42 species of orchids from Costa Rica to tropical South America.
